CLADACH AUTHOR APPEARANCES AND NEWS
Winter has arrived and so has the long-awaited 3rd book in our "Mysterious Ways" series. In Green Pastures: A Frontier Novel, by Colorado's own Donna Westover Gallup, is available from Cladach Publishing, through online retailers, and bookstores. The whole series will warm your heart. Curl up near a fireplace with hot cocoa or tea and enjoy In Green Pastures, set in 19th-century Colorado Territory. Charlie finds out he's a millionaire and his resulting adventures take him on a train to Missouri. He encounters an old Indian chief, the Jesse James outlaws, rogue relatives, baffling romance, and skeletons in the family closet. These bring challenges that test Charlie's budding manhood, skills, and faith in ways that will entertain and inspire readers of all ages.
In keeping with the Colorado frontier theme, we have used paintings from Colorado artist Dan Young for the covers on each of the novels in this series. He has created beautiful renditions of the Colorado high country which fit perfectly with the way we believe Charlie would have viewed his ranch.
Mysterious Ways Series of Frontier Novels:
#1 White as Snow
#2 Rock of Refuge
#3 In Green Pastures
#4 The Crimson River (forthcoming)

New Title Released this Summer
Author Susan Elaine Jenkins has started the next phase of her life -- ministering to women -- with the release of her memoir, Scandalon, in which she tells how sabotage, shame, and shattered dreams led her to "get away from it all" as a teacher in China. She shares many experiences of her time in China and her discovery that God's love is "scandalous." Find out more about the story and the author.
As we announced earlier, National Geographic TV aired a series of programs about hostage crises, "Locked Up Abroad." Our author McGill Alexander and his family were featured in a 45-minute episode which dramatized the story of how they were held hostage in Taipei, Taiwan and used as human shields in shoot-outs with the police. Now the entire episode is available to view online. You can read the full story in Hostage in Taipei : A True Story of Forgiveness and Hope, available through our web store, major online retailers, and any bookseller.

German translation of WALK THE LAND
Walk the Land: A Journey on Foot through Israel by Judith Galblum Pex is published in German by a nonprofit missions organization, AMZI (Association for Messianic Witness to Israel), of Germany in cooperation with publisher, BRUNNEN. The text was translated by Ingeborg Beyeler-Blum. The book is available at AMZI's Web site. Among German Christians there is a lot of interest in Israel and many take vacations in Israel. The author, Judith, and her husband, John, often have German people stay at their Shelter Hostel in Eilat, Israel. John himself is Dutch and Walk the Land is currently being translated into the Dutch language in preparation for publication of the book in the Netherlands.

AUTHORS CREATE HOLIDAY BUZZ
Cladach authors have been sighted this fall signing books at Barnes & Noble, giving media interviews, teaching workshops and publishing articles on their subjects. One even ran for legislative office in her state.
Dave Claassen in live radio interview
David J. Claassen, author of the just-released Kathryn's Fountain: A Novel, has been busy since his debut novel released in November -- signing books at book fairs and bookstores, being interviewed by newspapers, radio, and TV ... keeping up his inspirational blog, Web site, and newspaper column ... all the while giving pastoral leadership to his congregation in Toledo, Ohio. Read about all the creative buzz surrounding Kathryn's Fountain. Read the Toledo Blade article.
Donna Westover Gallup, author of frontier novels, White As Snow and Rock of Refuge, has fall/holiday booksignings at Barnes & Noble in Loveland and Fort Collins, Colorado, and at Colorado State University. Donna is devoting time now to writing the next book in the Mysterious Ways series of frontier novels, since winding down her campaign for Colorado State Assembly. Though she didn't win against the encumbent, it was a winning experience in other ways. Read about it here.
Dennis Ellingson, author of two nonfiction books, God's Healing Herbs and The Godly Grandparent, is writing a year of columns for The Fit Christian magazine. He has given workshops in various venues on the topics of herbs, and on the importance and influence of godly grandparenting.
Judith Galblum Pex, author of Walk the Land: A Journey on Foot through Israel, will be in the U.S. during December and will be sharing with groups about the Pex's ministry in Israel and about their experience of walking the 600-mile Israel Trail, which is chronicled in her book published by Cladach.
The authors/books mentioned above are currently our best sellers. As Christmas nears, we hope these attractive, inspirational reads will be wrapped up as presents under trees and make stockings bulge.
NO MORE FEAR -- Now For Sale in Bookstores in Cambodia
Cladach's first title, No More Fear: From Killing Fields to Harvest Fields (by Physa Chanmany as told to Catherine Lawton) is now available in Cambodia and Laos through Monument Books. Both a book retailer and wholesaler, Monument Books has stores in Phnom Penh, the Phnom Penh airport, Siem Reap Airport, Vientiane, and Luang Prabang.
First published in 1999, No More Fear tells the story of Physa Chanmany's childhood in a Buddhist village in the jungles of Cambodia, and the terror he experienced during the Killing Fields. The book tells how, as a refugee, Physa met Jesus Christ and became a Christian minister in the United States.
We at Cladach are thankful that this moving, true story can be available in Cambodia, a country devastated by the Khmer Rouge genocide of its people and culture, where at one time all books were burned and many people were executed just for being educated and able to read.
May God bless the country of Cambodia and give them the light of His hope.
